A few exciting uses of coconut oil you will love
There comes a time when whatever product we want to use, has unfortunately come to an end. Or if you're like me, break the entire bottle or by complete accident you spill everything everywhere and leaving nothing behind to even salvage, then you're named the world class cluts, have no fear you're not alone.
Over a long time I have been using Coconut oil, and I can say its amazing. I keep repurchasing it. Its a product that can found easily at the drugstore and inexpensive if you're on a budget,so don't worry my love I've got you covered.
Just a little bit of history:
Apparently the coconut tree was used for many years by the people around the Pacific and Asian countries. So, the meat of the coconut had supplied these people with food. Also, how interesting they used the leaves to weave baskets. The syrups they had was made from the flowers. Now a days people use it for homeware, beauty and skincare.
Here's a few uses for you lovelies to try out:
1. Removes make up
This is really gentle to remove all make up especially the toughest pains of waterproof mascara. All you have to do is put a small amount on your fingertips and warm the product in your fingers and gently rub your eyes, by this time you should sort of look like a panda bear (a cute one) laughs. And then feel free to massage the rest of your face with the oil and then gently wipe your face with a face wipe and then go in with a good cleanser of your choice. Cleanse properly ladies.
2. Body Moisturizer
My absolute favourite. After a lovely hot shower or bath of your choice. Pat skin dry with towel and then take a small amount of the oil and warm it in your hands and apply on your body, your skin will feel so smooth and nourished.
3. Cuticle care
After pushing your cuticles and filing your nails, take a tiny bit and rub it gently into your cuticle beds
4 Exfoliation
This is the natural process for the skin to shed dead skin cells, the term we use for this is called desquamation. This normally happens after the skin has been prepped before hand like cleansing and toning.
- The dead skin cells are removed as well as grease and debris
- Brand new cells appear to the surface, which then exposes an improvement in the appearance of the skin
- Promotes better product penetration such as your serums and moisturisers
- Promotes blood circulation to the surface of the skin, which enables oxygen and nutrients to the skin and improvement in the skin colour
- Hyperpigmented skins benefit from exfoliation because it slough off the old dead pigmented surface areas
DIY Body Scrub:
- 1/2 cup coconut oil (put in microwave to soften a bit)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- mix both ingredients properly
- add favourite essential oil f your choice.
mix well and allow it to cool.
use when ready and scrub away.
5. Shaving Balm
While you in the shower its nice and easy to just shave. All you do is apply some rub it in your hands and then apply straight to your legs. This should give you a smooth clean shave.
6. Massage time
What easier way to treat someone dear to you with a massage. just make sure the person isn't allergic to nuts. Apply some to your hands and warm it on your hands and then massage gently to the persons liking. This will also soak in fairly quickly, which prevents the gross feeling of greasiness.
My beauties, I do hope this has inspired you to take more care of your skin and your well-being. Feel free to leave me a comment, if you've got any questions or suggestions.
