Review: RIMMEL Long Lasting Pressed Powder
There has a been a stage where, all I could do is to try finding the perfect translucent powder. No mater what store I went to I was always just too afraid to make a purchase and then yet regret what I had bought. Have you ever been through that, or still are. Iv been wanting to find something that would suit all my clients for special occasion makeup sessions. Trying to find some thing that would be light but also not cake once applied.
So then I've ended doing research, this took months till I finally figured out that this product I'm about to talk about came recommended by couple youtubers and bloggers. The amazing RIMMEL Long Lasting Pressed Powder
I then grew the courage to head to Foschini and purchase this beauty once and for all and see what the huge fuss was about. I paid about R 100 for this baby. Yup! what a bargain. I don't regret at it all.I use it for all my clients. It doesn't make the face white like a Casper the ghost, as it is translucent. it blend into whatever the foundation is this powder adds absolutely no colour to your face. as you know it is difficult to actually find something that suits us perfectly, hence translucent is the way to go my beauties. If you are prone to oily skin with an oily T-zone and like to tough up during your days work, you might end up blotting in between. But for setting concealer under the eyes or baking, it works perfectly, there's no crumbling or chalky effects that one would be on alert for. It blends seamlessly into your make up. what I found as well, is that it didn't draw attention to my fine lines under my eyes nor did it give an elusion of enlarged pores, it absorbed well enough to not be noticed. And therefore my eye make up really lasts the whole day.
The Powder is in a small circular container with a twisty lid. If you are someone that likes carrying their makeup with them everywhere I suggest be careful with it, as it is a pressed powder, and would be damaged immediately if the bag with the contents is thrown onto the floor.
If you are someone that's constantly in humid areas, then I assure you this powder is your best friend it shan't let you down my beauty. If you tend to go oily or even shiney this will save the day.
Claim:
The powder is available in 10 different shades. Its dermatologically tested. Up to 5hours shine control as its made with certain natural minerals. Rimmel also claims to help minimise the appearance of pores. This product is available at various stores such as Foschini / Dischem / Clicks / takealot etc.
How its used:
Its pretty easy to use the powder. Once you've applied your foundation and concealer then only do I dip my big fluffy powder brush into the powder and knock or tap the excess product off. and the lightly tap under the eyes and to prevent the concealer from creasing and then I apply a light sweep of powder on the t-zone and rest of the face. This usually helps control the shine. but I will reapply during the day.
TIP: if you do decide to keep this product in your makeup bag. avoid throwing your bag on the floor s this product will shatter everywhere.
I sure hope this has inspired you to try this product. it is amazing. Its up to you to try and have fun my beauties.
